Overnight Oats

Overnight oats are an easy grab-and-go breakfast that’s ready when you wake up. Blending the oats gives this recipe a cookie dough consistency which I LOVE. I have this recipe in my repeat for school breakfasts and the different variations help me not get bored of oats.

Make sure to experiment with different flavor combinations and toppings!

  • 1/2 cup oats (rolled, stell-cut, or blended)

  • 1 cup milk (can substitute with an equal amount of yogurt)

  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional)

  • Any other seeds of choice (pumpkin, sunflower, etc.)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • Sweetener of choice (honey, maple syrup, stevia, etc.)

1. Grab a mason jar or other sealable container. Add in the oats, milk or yogurt, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp seeds, vanilla, and sweetener if you’re using it.

2. For a nutritional boost, add flax seeds, hemp seeds, or any other seeds.

3. Mix everything thoroughly. Seal the jar tightly and place them in the fridge overnight.

4. Open it the next day and add in any fruits of your choice. Enjoy!

Apple Pie

While mixing all the base ingredients, add in a grated apple, cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice, and walnuts or pecans.

  • Add in a tablespoon of cocoa powder and chopped walnuts (nuts and chocolate >>>)
  • If you don’t like a bitter taste, I’d recommend adding in some more sweetener here

Lemon Blueberry

Mix in the zest of one lemon, the juice of half a lemon, and a handful of blueberries. Extra points if you add in poppy seeds!

Tahini Honey

Mix in half a tablespoon of honey with the base ingredients. Top it off with a spoonful of tahini in the morning to add in some healthy fats.
